Free antivirus which WORKS!?

I currently have a few viruses on my computer and none of the free antivirus I've tried work.

They detect the virus but can't clean them.

Are there any good antivirus out there which really take care of business?

most virus are spread through IE. IE is not a safe browser. you should use a more secure browser to protect your PC from virus.

i recommand you to use firefox with Google toolbar. firefox can block any any popup and disable any virus and adware, spyware on webpage, so, firefox is much safer than IE browser. as you know, most of virus spread throught internet and webpage.

besides, firefox is much smaller than IE, so it run faster than IE.

First of all, no matter what anti-malware progs you use, they won't do squat if you don't UPDATE them at least every week if not every _DAY_!!!

Avast AV is the best free AV out at this time. I use it and have ever since it came out a couple years ago. I ditched AVG, which has gone down hill FAST for it.
